September 2008 - ANEFA´s GAP Aridos Project, gets the go-ahead

ANEFA´s strategic proposal for the improvement of environmental management of small and mid-sized aggregate industry companies, is now integrated in the European Social Fund project.

ANEFA (Spanish acronym for Spanish National Association of Aggregate Producers) got the official nod. Its environmental project has been among the 32 proposals selected by the European Social Fund, to unfold its Operational Program for Adaptability and Employment for the 2007-2013 period. The approval was announced on September 29 by the Biodiversity Foundation, an agency of the Ministry for Environmental Affairs.

The main objectives that ANEFA seeks to accomplish are: enabling a cross-company environmental knowledge transfer; supporting the implementation of environmental management systems, and developing a think-tank to create action plans with sustainable development indicators.

As an ANEFA member, Capotex welcomes this news. “Taking care of the environment is, first and foremost, a moral duty”, says Director of Innovation, Javier Saura. He says that, in Capotex, sustainable development is no longer a mere trend, but an economic imperative. “Our objective is to achieve zero emissions”, concludes Saura.
