December 2008 - Capotex to Operate in Colombia´s First FTZ

Capotex will operate in Colombia’s first FTZ (Free Trade Zone), as a supplier of Cementos Argos´, the country´s leading private mining company.

The construction and assembly of Cementos Argos´ new cement production line in Cartagena (a €260 million investment within the soon-to-become Colombia´s first FTZ) will create over 1,000 jobs during its development stage, and will retain about 250 and 500, direct and indirect jobs on its operational phase. The new factory will have a yearly output of 1.8 metric tons of cement.

Cementos Argos hired Capotex as one of its suppliers. The Colombian concern has ordered close to 6 miles of lineal covering of our Dakar model, featuring an ergonomic hook. This model is easy to install, can be disassembled and is covered in its entirety.  

The partnership between both firms is based on experience and mutual trust. Capotex worked with Cementos Argos during the expansion of the Colombian firm’s plant in Rioclaro, Medellín.
