That is why CAPOTEX proposed the DAKAR model. Visual inspeccion and complete access from either side were possible with this design. The opened angle was calculated to withstand strong wind letting them to cross through the conveyor to avoid a “sail” effect but not letting the wind to carry the belt out of the conveyor. The local climate was extremely dry, so galvanized steel was chosen.

Cuba
CAPOTEX designed, prototyped and manufactured this unique mix of MADRID and DAKAR models, toghether with CAPOSIDE windshield protection. MADRID model, one covering each idler, offered quick access to the rollers since it cand be opened from either side of the conveyor. DAKAR model covered the belt between idlers. Since no frequent access was needed on this areas, hinges and side protections were eliminated to reduce costs. Made-to-measure steel hooks were chosen as fixings for both, DAKAR and CAPOSIDE.

Due to the dusty environment of this Cement Plant, the ergonomic handle was chosen as the perfect fastening option for installation and maintenance.
